Your company’s branding lets you become memorable to your target audience and market. The success and recall of your brand depend on a number of elements and factors. These include the choice of images, colors, fonts, and layout, all of which complete your brand’s overall design. Your decisions pertaining to these elements affect how your brand is perceived by your fans, followers, and target customers. After all, 90 percent of all information transmitted is visual and your brand should have visual aids good enough to catch the attention of your audience.

To make sure that your brand stands out and becomes memorable enough, check out and consider applying these four tips!

Design around a unique and creative color palette.

When we say unique and creative, we don’t mean using every color you see in the color wheel. We’re talking about complimentary colors that radiate a positive message about your company and brand; colors that represent your mission and vision well.

When choosing the colors you will use for the design of your brand, think about the kind of emotions that you want your audience to feel when they see your brand, logo, and other materials and visuals. Remember, every color conveys and evokes different feelings and thoughts.

With that in mind, consider how you can incorporate those colors into your visual materials. Make sure that you’re consistent with the colors that you use, as they boost brand recall and recognition by as much as 80 percent.

Choose professional-looking fonts.

Unless your audience is composed of little children, stay away from too playful and casual fonts (we’re looking at you, Comic Sans). The font or typography is a very important element of design. Your font of choice should also represent your company’s primary message, goals, and personality. Furthermore, by using certain fonts consistently, you will also help the audience accustom themselves to your company and brand.

Think of a primary and secondary font that you will use across your visuals and designs. If you’re going to design a text-heavy material, up to 3 fonts can be used.

Create responsive templates.

Once you’ve chosen your colors and fonts, you can make life easier for you and the rest of your team if you would create templates for materials that you often use. For instance, if you’re taking care of your social media presence and you post several times a day or week, you can already create templates that instantly apply the colors and fonts you’ve chosen. This way, all of your materials will have the same look and feel, and you can easily and quickly create visuals without having to start from scratch each time.

Your brand should have a story that appeals to your audiences.

Your brand should have a story. This story can come from the pain points of your audience’s story. This way, your brand will be the solution. Know what your audience wants to see, read, and hear. By providing value to your audience, you reach out to them on a personal level.
